Most college applications are due at the end of November.? Your application is what colleges will use to ¡°get to know you.¡± The personal statement portion of the application is your opportunity to let the admissions officers get to know. Your individual grades, scores, and other numbers will factor into their decision, but the personal statement is crucial to portraying yourself. It should demonstrate why you want to attend a school, and why that school should want you as a student.? Showcase strengths and achievements and explain why a college aligns with your future goals. Bring your personal statements in (double spaced) with their prompts to get feedback and guidance.
Seniors, the December test date for the SAT is your last chance to take the test towards college applications. You may want to fill out your answer sheet to send scores directly to the colleges you are applying to. You can also click on ¡°Send Score Report¡± from your College Board profile. Our center offers programs in classrooms and one-on-one to help you achieve a high score. Last minute intensive sessions are also available to those who are working to improve their scores.
